It's no secret that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had a tricky relationship with the public in recent years. Not only has the Duke of Sussex filed lawsuits against various publications, but it has also been said that the Duchess feels as though her "hands are tied" due to being unable to defend herself against the "cruel British media."

According to Express, body language expert Blanca Cobb believes that the couple's outing on Thursday at Westminster Abbey's Field of Remembrance reveals additional information about how they view their relationship with royal watchers at this time.

Cobb stated that while she believes Meghan and Harry are happy to "engage with the public," they are doing so "at a distance." While they may be "politely disconnecting" from fans of the British royal family, she believes they remain "very emotionally connected to each other." This, the expert said, was particularly evident in a specific photo referenced by Cobb where the royals can be seen looking at each other.

However, Cobb also shared that she believes they are "pulling into themselves" due to a specific photo that showed Harry looking back at Meghan while she looks down. "This picture shows a polite disconnect from the public," Cobb said, adding, "Meghan is looking down, but Harry is looking in Meghan's direction."

Continuing, she added, "After the media scrutiny, the public's perception alters, so Meghan will act or show mannerisms that she thinks will allow her to get more respect."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also reportedly been quietly considering whether or not they should leave the royal family. Doing so may come with some unique consequences if Queen Elizabeth II doesn't seek to prevent it altogether.
