Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Matchmaker Identified: Who Is Violet Von Westenholz?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's matchmaker has finally been revealed.

When the "Suits" star and Duke gave their first joint interview, they revealed that their matchmaker is a common friend. However, Prince Harry and Markle declined to name her to protect their friend's privacy. In fact, they did not even give a hint if the person behind their romance is a man or woman.

After several months, E! News has finally identified the person who introduced Prince Harry and Markle to each other. According to the publication, their matchmaker is Violet von Westenholz, the prince's childhood friend.

Westenholz's father is a baron and close to Prince Charles. The matchmaker is among Prince Harry's trusted inner circle of friends for years. In fact, Prince Harry turns to her when it comes to matters of the heart. Westenholz's sister, Victoria, was once romantically linked to Markle's fiancé.

"Harry was having a really hard time finding anyone," a source told the publication. "It's hard enough finding someone new to date. He can hardly go on Tinder or a dating app like normal people, but to meet someone that you actually connect with, that was proving to be almost impossible. It was something he had confided in his closest friends about; he was ready to meet someone but it was so hard to actually find the right person."

Prince Harry's problem was resolved when Westenholz and Markle met. The "Horrible Bosses" star has been part of the London social scene and that's when Violet considered the actress for the royal prince.

Initially, many thought that Prince Harry and Markle's matchmaker was her friend, Misha Nonoo. Nonoo is a fashion designer who was married to Alexander Gilkes, a friend of Prince William and Prince Harry. She has been spotted hanging out with Markle when the actress' romance with the duke was still blossoming.

"I really can't answer that," Nonoo said with a laugh when asked if she's Prince Harry and Markle's matchmaker.

Markle's white button shirt when she made her first public appearance with Prince Harry at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto way back in September was one of Nonoo's designs. According to the designer, the exposure has helped her business.

"I had no idea she was going to wear it," Nonoo explained. "It was a beautiful surprise and I was touched. The exposure has been incredible."
