Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did not grow up together but the royal couple was reportedly raised the same way by their respective moms.

Royal author Duncan Larcombe told Quest Red that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were raised the same way even though they come from different backgrounds.

“As children, their parents made a point of showing them people who were less fortunate than them. Clearly with Meghan, if you look at some of her social media posts before she met Harry, even then she was very committed to good causes,” he said.

Royal author Katie Nicholl echoed Larcombe’s thoughts and said that Prince Harry and Markle indeed have several similarities when it comes to their upbringing.

“There are a lot of parallels between the way Diana raised Meghan to be socially aware of those less fortunate than herself. It’s exactly what Diana did with Harry and William… And that is something that I am sure will influence their parenting,” she said.

Nicholl also said that when Markle was still working as an actress in Hollywood she would usually go to the soup kitchens in Toronto to volunteer.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex also made headlines this week after she was praised for getting out front and shaping the narrative regarding the birth of Baby Sussex. The royal just announced that the birth of her baby will be kept private until after she and Prince Harry have enjoyed it as a family.

Royal expert Bonnie Greer said that Markle made a stand that when her baby is born, she will be the one to decide when she would share Baby Sussex’s photo to the world.

Markle told royal fans earlier this year that she will give birth at the end of April or the beginning of May. There are rumors that Markle has given birth but royal expert Dickie Arbiter said that this isn’t the case.
