Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been photographed thousands of times since they first started dating. But one photographer selected the top three pictures of the royal couple from this year.

While speaking with Insider, Samir Hussein revealed that her first choice for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s best photos was taken on Feb. 24. The royal couple was in Morocco at that time.

In the snap, Markle leaned on Prince Harry’s shoulder in a loved-up display. And the Duke of Sussex also bowed his head forward in an attempt to make his wife feel more comfortable.

“Harry and Meghan often seem a lot more relaxed when on tour, enjoying the local hospitality. This was very true in Morocco at the beginning of the year. Here I captured them in the Atlas Mountains watching local school children take part in a game of football. This was just a few months before Archie was born and showed the solidarity between the two of them,” he said.

Hussein’s second photo of choice was taken on June 8 at the Trooping the Colour. In the snap, Prince Harry and Markle are riding a horse-drawn carriage. The Duchess of Sussex is also waving to the crowds.

“I photographed Meghan and Harry at Trooping the Colour, not long after the birth of baby Archie. The public was out in force, excited to see the couple as they traveled by carriage down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace. They both looked very proud, Harry in uniform and Meghan looking striking. What made the photo was both of them turning in my direction and Meghan giving a wave,” he said.

Hussein’s third photo was of Markle dancing with another woman in South Africa. The picture was taken on Sept. 23. The photographer called the snap very unusual.

“This is a very unusual royal photo because it shows a royal cutting loose and dancing with locals, fully enjoying the moment,” he said.
