Meghan Markle, Prince Harry vs. Kate Middleton, Prince William Feud Not The First
Rumors have swirled regarding an apparent royal feud between Prince Harry, Prince William and their respective families.
They've split up their charity and even allegedly attempted to avoid each other at Balmoral. The emphasis media has put on their latest antics make it seem like this is the first time the royals have been divided. Spoiler alert: It's not.
A rift between the Royal family occurred after the death of Princess Diana in 1997, according to royal biographer Penny Junor. In her book, "The Firm," she explained the divide that happened between Prince Charles and the rest of the Royal family.

"By that time, a schism the size of the Mall had developed between Buckingham Palace and St James’s," she wrote according to Express. "The Firm was split down the middle with one side sniping at the other and the senior courtiers from both camps hardly on speaking terms."
What caused the royal rift? None other than Prince Charles eventual partner, Camilla Parker Bowles.
Junor wrote that the Queen and her aides wanted to keep Camilla "out of sight," but Charles disagreed. He wanted "to bring her out into the open so that the day would dawn when the public would view her as a legitimate part of his life," which we know now is exactly what happened.
When it comes to the Sussex's and Cambridge's though, only time will tell if their alleged rift will subside.
