For months there has been speculation about an ongoing feud between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, a new statement by Buckingham Palace seems to have only fueled rumors that the alleged rift has gotten worse.

A report by the Sunday Times suggested William and Kate may feel overshadowed by Harry and Meghan, who are typically on the front cover of most publications. This is considered an issue seeing as the Duke of Cambridge will eventually take the throne and should be the focus of the royal family.

“People are telling William, ‘Don’t worry. Your influence will grow and Harry’s will fade,’” an insider told the newspaper.

Over the weekend, rumors circulated alleging Meghan and Prince Harry may move to Africa so the brothers could get some space from one another. “It’s a bit sad really. The wives don’t get on. The brothers have fallen out,” a source revealed.

One insider told the Express UK the move to Africa would not only improve William and Harry’s relationship, but it would also help them “define themselves better.”

However, nothing is set in stone according to the statement released by Buckingham Palace on Sunday.

“Any future plans for the Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage. No decisions have been taken about future roles. The Duke will continue to fulfill his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador,” the statement read.

Palace insiders went on to tell the Sunday Times that if a move were to happen, Meghan and Harry would only relocate overseas for two or three years. Sources claimed a final decision about the move wouldn’t be made until 2020.
