Meghan Markle Reportedly Quit Royal Family After Being Forced To Follow This ‘Ridiculous’ Rule

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quit the royal family two weeks ago, and one of the reasons for their decision may have just been revealed.

A palace insider told InTouch Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex has always struggled with following the rules and regulations set by the royal family. And there’s one particular royal tradition that she couldn’t stand.

The “Suits” alum reportedly dislikes the fact that she has to curtsy to royals who have a higher rank compared to her. This includes Queen Elizabeth, and the future queens of Britain, Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton.

“This may seem like a small detail, but honestly Meghan couldn’t stand curtsying. It’s what I think threw her over the edge, having to curtsy to everyone!” the source said.

The insider added that Prince Harry’s wife thought curtsying to other royals was ridiculous, and she saw it as a big problem for her.

Meanwhile, another royal expert also claimed to know another reason why Markle and Prince Harry decided to quit. While speaking with The Sun, the insider said that seeing Prince George’s photo with the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince William over the holidays was the last straw for the royal couple.

“That picture was the clearest indication that Harry and Meghan are not considered part of the future of the institution. From their point of view, from that moment on, there was no point hanging around,” the source told journalist Dan Wooton.

In related news, Markle and Prince Harry have revealed the real reason why they quit. The royal couple has been struggling with the constant negative scrutiny that they are receiving from the media.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also desire to be able to lead private lives while pursuing careers that cannot be restricted by their royal roles. This coming spring, the royal couple will no longer be able to perform royal duties or use their titles.
