  • Meghan Markle's British Vogue video was savaged by Lizzie Cundy
  • Meghan Markle released her behind the scenes video for British Vogue last month
  • The palace tried stopping Meghan Markle from sharing her British Vogue video

Meghan Markle previously guest-edited the September issue of British Vogue. And last month, behind the scenes clip featuring the Duchess of Sussex and the publication’s editor, Edward Enninful, was released.

This week, television presenter Lizzie Cundy criticized the behind the scenes video by calling it cringeworthy and toe-curling. She also claimed that the palace tried to stop Prince Harry’s wife from uploading the clip on social media.

“Did you not think that was slightly cringy? I just don’t think that was the right way. I think it was too much and it was self-indulgent. I know you’re going to think I sound like Piers Morgan - I don’t. I do think it was toe-curling stuff and it shouldn’t have been allowed. I do believe that Buckingham Palace did try and stop this video footage from going out but as Meghan gets what Meghan wants…” Cundy told True Royalty TV.

This isn’t the only thing that Cundy criticized Markle. During the same interview, Cundy talked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent exit and said that Queen Elizabeth was left with no other choice but to draw the line.

“I think she was actually getting worried that maybe Meghan would go nuclear. We’ve heard about the chat shows that could happen, so many other things, and I think she wanted to contain it,” she said.

Cundy also questioned Prince Harry and Markle’s recent statement about not wanting to capitalize on the Sussex Royal brand after their official exit. She said that this couldn’t have been true. After all, the royal couple wants to follow in the footsteps of the Obamas and the Beckhams.

Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit The Firm in January. But according to the Canadian government, they have already been going back and forth between London and North America since November.

This month, they will be returning to the United Kingdom for their final royal engagements.
