Meghan Markle Shock: Prince Harry’s Wife Had An Adorable Nickname For Ex-Husband Trevor Engelson
KEY POINTS
- Meghan Markle used to call Trevor Engelson Trevity Trev Trev
- The producer got the nickname for his friend, LL Cool J
- Trevor Engelson rarely visited Meghan Markle on the set of "Deal or No Deal"
Meghan Markle reportedly had an adorable nickname for her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson.
In the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” royal author Andrew Morton said that Markle used to call her ex-husband “Trevity Trev Trev.” The nickname was originally given to Engelson by LL Cool J.
“Long blocks of filming followed by weeks of downtime gave her the opportunity to attend more auditions and go traveling with the man she playfully called Trevity Trev Trev, a nickname he’d originally been given by the rapper LL Cool J,” Morton said.
During her relationship with Engelson, Markle starred in several episodes of “Deal or No Deal” as one of the briefcase girls. The Duchess of Sussex held the number 24 during the second season of the show in 2006.
At that time, Engelson was working as a talent manager and producer. However, not all of his movies were a success. “Zoom,” which was released in the same year that Markle appeared in “Deal or No Deal” was dubbed as an unmitigated disaster.
A year later, Markle’s ex-husband produced the romantic comedy “License to Wed” that starred Robin Williams and Mandy Moore, and it did much better at the box office.
Meanwhile, Morton talked about some of the tensions that Markle and Engelson faced during their relationship. He said that the producer was too busy to spend time with his ex-wife, and he rarely visited Prince Harry’s wife on the set of her projects.
“They were driven individuals, Trevor as busy, if not more so than his girlfriend. It was also noticeable that, unlike the boyfriends and husbands of her ‘Deal or No Deal’ sisters, Trevor never visited Meghan on set. It was so unusual that his absence was commented on by the other girls. However, there were plenty of other celebrities, mainly sports stars, who dropped by, some clearly trying to get up close and personal with the girls,” Morton said.
