  • Meghan Markle's "Meghan Effect" and "Markle Sparkle" are still effective even after Megxit
  • Markle will return to Instagram
  • Markle's new Instagram account will be similar to Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP

Meghan Markle will continue to receive sponsored items but will never promote a flat tummy tea, according to one source.

The Duchess of Sussex is one of the most influential royals in the world. Whatever Markle wears tends to sell out. According to some experts, the “Markle Sparkle” or “Meghan Effect” will continue despite Prince Harry and the duchess’ exit from the royal family.

According to Elizabeth Holmes, the fashion journalist behind the buzzy “So Many Thoughts,” many companies would give Markle different items from their product line in hopes of the former actress promoting them.

Holmes isn’t sure if Markle would receive clothes for free. However, she is sure that the duchess’ influence in fashion still works.

“I think that Meghan's power as a dresser will continue. There are so few people—even among celebrities—that have the kind of economic power to move merchandise the way that royal women do, so I hope and I think she’ll choose carefully,” Holmes told Town & Country.

Christine Ross, the creative director of Effervescence Media Group, a company that runs the popular royal fashion blog Meghan's Mirror, agreed with Holmes. She also believes that Markle might begin receiving gifts, but she will be choosy when it comes to accepting them.

Markle is expected to be responsible and might reject flat tummy teas. Many are looking forward to her return to Instagram and she could use the platform to promote the items she loves.

“If an independent woman-owned brand reaches out to her and says 'Would you like to learn more about our brand, we’ll send you a necklace,' I could see that possibly happening,” Ross said.

“But Meghan knows how influential her fashion choices are and how much of an economic phenomenon the Meghan effect is. We’ll never see her Instagramming flat tummy tea,” she added.

Meanwhile, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier said earlier that Prince Harry’s wife would be back on social media. Her source reportedly has a “little bit of insider knowledge” and shared that Markle is already working onto something that is “very interesting and creative” and “inspiring.”

The source said that it would be similar to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop or a new version of her The Tig blog. It would be about fashion, beauty, food and travel.

Prince Harry and Markle have a massive following on Instagram for their account, Sussex Royal. However, the Queen forbid them from using it after they decided to step back from their royal roles.
