Meghan Markle hasn't been hitting the gym after giving birth to son Archie, but she has been doing one of her favorite activities to slowly get back into shape.

Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl recently told Entertainment Tonight that Markle has been taking it easy following her pregnancy. Prior to giving birth, Prince Harry's wife had been "very fit" and somewhat of a fitness fanatic, but since welcoming Archie in May, Markle reportedly doesn't want to do anything "too strenuous."

But one thing she hasn't stopped doing even after giving birth is yoga, which Markle has always been known to enjoy. "She was very into her fitness regime. She used to run around the park in Kensington, but she has been taking it easy. And I hear that yoga is very much on her post-birth fitness regime -- nothing too strenuous," Nicholl dished.

The royal expert explained that Markle hasn't returned to her old fitness regimen as she is not in a hurry to get back in shape unlike some new mothers. However, she has been doing yoga with her yoga instructor mom, Doria Ragland, who came to the UK to spend time with her daughter and grandchild last month.

Nicholl said that Ragland has been helping Markle will "postpartum yoga and baby yoga." The Duchess of Sussex's exercise routine also involves taking walks around Windsor Great Park, but she is not doing any hard training and weights.

"She's apparently not in any hurry to ping back into shape. She's enjoying this time. She's being gentle to herself," the author said of Markle.

Earlier this year, Nicholl also opened up about Markle's healthy lifestyle and how it has rubbed off on her husband Prince Harry. According to the royal expert, the Duke of Sussex now regularly drinks green juice in the mornings, hits the gym and even practices yoga with his wife, ETOnline reported.

Another positive change Markle reportedly cause was Prince Harry lessening his bad habits such as smoking and drinking.

Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their firstborn, Archie Harrison, on May 6 and introduced him to the world two days later. The baby boy is now seventh-in-line to the throne.
