Meghan Markle Under Fire For ‘Purchasing’ $74K Ralph & Russo Couture Gown?

Meghan Markle recently went under fire for “purchasing” a $74,800 Ralph & Russo couture gown for her engagement photo shoot with Prince Harry.
According to the Independent, a lot of fans loved Markle’s look during her pictorial, but there were also a few that criticized the former actress for wearing a gown that’s too expensive.
The publication noted that it’s highly unlikely that Markle herself purchased the Ralph & Russo gown, and it may have been given to her by the British designer. But a source also told the Daily Mail that the gown was “privately purchased” by the royal family.
If @thetimes is right and Meghan Markle’s dress for her photoshoot cost £56,000 then I am outraged. The Royal Family has certainly not cuaght the mood of the country if they think that kind of extravagance is OK while others go hungry and homeless.

One critic said that he couldn’t believe Markle or the royal family would purchase such an expensive piece of clothing considering the current economic climate of the United Kingdom.
Not sure wearing a £56,000 dress for her engagement pictures will endear Meghan Markle to the British public!

Another critic predicted that the British would not appreciate the fact that Markle wore a very expensive gown during her engagement photo shoot.
One critic also compared Markle with Kate Middleton and said that the Duchess of Cambridge has been recycling her clothes while Markle has been purchasing very expensive clothing.
Meanwhile, there were also a lot of fans that loved Markle’s engagement photo look. They said that Markle looked stunning in her gown. Others also claimed that Markle once again broke the rules by not wearing a bra during her pictorial with her fiancé.
Markle and Prince Harry are scheduled to tie the knot on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The couple’s wedding will be attended by approximately 800 guests. As of late, it is still unclear what wedding gown Markle would wear, but it’s possible that critics would also have something negative to say about it.
Earlier this week, Israeli designer Inbal Dror released sketches of Markle’s possible wedding gown. Dror said that the royal family reached out to her and asked her to come up with designs for the humanitarian’s gown.
According to TMZ, most of Dror’s designs cost $8,000 to $10,000. But it is important to note that Middleton’s wedding gown cost $500,000.
