Meghan Markle Uses This Clever Hair Trick For ‘Instant Facelift’
Meghan Markle stepped out in public on Thursday with a new hairstyle.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is known for her messy bun, opted for a chic ballerina bun during her visit to City, University of London. Markle wore an all-black ensemble to her royal engagement, and it was evident how she looked radiant during the outing.
But a top stylist said that Markle’s fresh-faced appearance could all be down to her hairstyle. Jay Birmingham, the owner of Jay Birmingham Hair, said that Markle employed her own version of the Croydon facelift.
“This style is amazing for pulling your skin tight and giving you almost an instant facelift, of course depending on how tight you tie it. Meghan may have opted for this technique today as her brows do look slightly higher and more poised,” the expert told Fabulous.
Markle’s new hairstyle also helped make her face look slightly slimmer because the hair is pulled back completely off the face and is also streamlined. Pregnant women usually do this clever hair trick, according to the expert.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex’s choice for an all-black ensemble was also questioned by The Sun journalist Rebecca Flood, who said that royals usually wear an all-black ensemble to funerals.
Prince Harry’s wife re-wore the Givenchy coat that she used during the Remembrance Day services in November. Markle paired her all-black ensemble with her nude heels. According to Birmingham, Markle’s topknot was so understated yet elegant, and it also paired well with her outfit.
“This look is a bit different from Meghan’s usually low, messy bun but it looks incredible on her and is a lovely change,” he concluded.
Last year, Markle was accused of breaking royal protocol with her messy bun. According to People, Markle broke protocol when she stepped out with the hairstyle that was a far cry from Kate Middleton’s classic chignon.
Luckily, it seems that Queen Elizabeth didn’t really mind Markle’s messy bun because she has become more realistic about the modern world. Ingrid Seward, a royal expert, said that this has to do with Her Majesty’s age. The monarch has become easy-going in recent years.
