Meghan Markle Uses Very ‘Powerful Eye-Gaze,’ ‘Flirtatious’ Toward Prince Harry Like This Royal Couple
KEY POINTS
- Meghan Markle reportedly shares some similarities with Wallis Simpson
- Prince Harry and King Edward VIII are quite similar
- Meghan Markle doesn't compare to Wallis Simpson
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have oftentimes been compared to two former members of the royal family. And following the royal couple’s bombshell exit, it seems that they have even more similarities with them.
While speaking with Express, body language expert Judi James revealed that Markle and Prince Harry have some physical and non-verbal similarities with Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII.
When the Duke of Sussex was still very young, he looked eerily similar to King Edward. Markle’s hairstyle, on the other hand, has become similar to Simpson’s similar look as well.
Prince Harry quit the royal family to protect Markle, and King Edward abdicated from the throne in favor of love. But beyond these similarities, the royal couples’ non-verbal gestures and body language are also the same.
“Both Wallis and Meghan used a signature, close-quarters and very powerful eye-gaze on their men and this technique would be both flattering and – at times – flirtatious. It presents the two royal men as the most important things in their lives and is a constant approval signal, suggesting both men are also their heroes,” James said.
Markle and Simpson’s unique eye-gaze directed at their respective partners suggest that they both nurturing traits, and this has a positive effect on Prince Harry and King Edward. After all, King Edward was a very shy man, and Prince Harry has been having negative emotional responses to appearing in public. As such, Markle and Simpson’s support is important to them.
Simpson and King Edward were also very affectionate towards each other when they are in public. Very early on in Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship, they made headlines for their public displays of affection.
“Edward and Wallis used touch rituals in a way that was unheard of for royals of their era and Harry and Meghan’s constant touching and hand-holding have also bucked the normal trend for royal couples now,” James said.
Meanwhile, Simpson’s former private secretary Johanna Schutz flat out dismissed the comparisons between Markle and her former boss. While speaking with The Telegraph, Schutz said that the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t come close to Simpson’s style or sophistication.
