Meghan Markle ‘Very Involved’ In Frogmore House’s Multimillion Renovation, Source Says
Meghan Markle is reportedly very involved with the multimillion-dollar renovation of Frogmore Cottage.
The property, which is being converted into a luxury home, will be ready for occupancy next year. Katie Harris, a journalist for Express, revealed that a source said that the pregnant Duchess of Sussex is very hands-on when it comes to the renovations.
“It is a very expensive affair. Frogmore Cottage is in an extremely run down condition and is needing a lot of TLC and heavy restoration to bring it up to standard ahead of the Duke and Duchess’s moving date… It is being especially designed to ensure that the family has a comfortable country life away from the hustle and bustle of London where they are living now,” the source said.
Markle reportedly wants a home that is perfect for her and her family. She regularly coordinates with the planning team and directly expresses what she wants. Security procedures are also being tightened up at the site and it is being made secure ahead of the royal arrivals.
At present, all applications have already been approved and work is quickly being undertaken. The soon-to-be mom is rumored to have hired the services of Soho House’s designer Vicky Charles to work on the property.
Another source said that Markle’s best friend, Marcus Anderson, works for the group. Anderson was the one who helped introduce Prince Harry to Markle and organized the royal couple’s early dates at the Soho Farmhouse.
In related news, Markle also made headlines this week after it was reported that she hides her gray hair using a secret styling technique. Last year, one strand of gray hair was found on the “Suits” alum’s head while she was in Belfast. The article by Marie Claire sparked criticism for royal fans that accused the story of being sexist.
Jason Hogan, a colorist at Josh Wood Atelier, said Markle probably use hair dyes to hide her gray hair even though she is pregnant. The expert also said that using hair color is not actually risk for those who are expecting.
