Meghan Markle Wants To Break Friendship With Jessica Mulroney? Source Reveals Alleged Truth

Meghan Markle has reportedly distanced herself from best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney in the wake of the latter’s “white privilege” controversy.

Prior to becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Markle and Mulroney had been great pals, with the latter’s kids even playing special roles during the former “Suits” actress’ highly televised wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. However, their friendship was tested when the stylist did some eyebrow-raising actions toward a Black influencer, including threatening the latter’s livelihood using her power.

Now, a source reportedly told Entertainment Tonight that Markle is reevaluating her association with Mulroney because of the controversy her BFF had stirred.

"She's distanced herself from Jessica because the comments were unacceptable and offensive. [Meghan's friends have been] concerned for some time that Jessica has been profiting from her relationship with Meghan and using it to further her brand. That's something [Prince] William and Harry have never accepted with any of their friends," the insider shared.

This comes amid reports that Markle has totally cut ties with Mulroney, which, according to the source, is not true. The insider underlined that Mulroney had been a “source of strength” of the Duchess of Sussex in her past struggles, and the designer even looked after her godchild, Archie Harrison.

"Jessica made an error in judgment which was regrettable and for which she has apologized and made a vow to step back and learn from her insensitivity," the source added.

Markle is currently educating herself on the issues the country is facing nowadays, the source claimed. She is reportedly also busy with important projects like developing her and Prince Harry’s foundation and is focused on learning from the community.

Mulroney received backlash after she reacted harshly to influencer Sasha Exeter’s call-to-action clip that encouraged fellow influencers with huge followings to speak up and support the Black Lives Matter movement, The Cut reported. The Canadian TV personality was offended by her actions even though she wasn’t named in the clip.

She allegedly sent a scathing message to Exeter, who revealed that Mulroney was threatening her livelihood and attempting to silence her. According to Exeter, the fashion expert claimed to have already spoken with companies and sponsors working with the influencer regarding her "unfair treatment" of Mulroney.
