Meghan Markle’s Dad Buys Takeout In Mexico While Waiting For Grandchild’s Birth
Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., was recently photographed buying takeaway food from one of the restaurants near his home in Mexico.
A photo of the former lighting director shows the 74-year-old wearing a blue collared shirt and black pants while carrying two plastic bags filled with food. An onlooker who saw Thomas said that Markle’s dad didn’t talk about his daughter during his recent sighting.
“He didn’t look too well. He walked in very slowly and stood there quietly while he waited for his food,” the source said.
A video of Thomas also shows him carrying takeout food from fast food chain McDonald’s. Even though he seemed to be wearing the exact same attire, it is unclear if Markle’s dad bought takeaway food from two different places on the same day.
Markle will be staying in Mexico while waiting for news about his grandchild’s birth. But his ex-wife, Doria Ragland, is currently staying with Markle and Prince Harry at Frogmore Cottage. The yoga instructor will stay in the United Kingdom until after Baby Sussex is born.
Thomas had been frozen out by his daughter and the royal family even before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal wedding last year. Weeks before the big event, Thomas starred in a series of fake photographs that shocked Markle and her husband’s side of the family.
While dealing with the harsh criticisms from the public over the incident, Thomas suffered from a heart attack and had to undergo surgery. According to him, this was the main reason why he was unable to attend the “Suits” alum’s royal wedding.
But after the televised event, Thomas and his children, Thomas Jr. and Samantha Markle, continued to give interviews about Markle and Prince Harry. Thomas and Samantha oftentimes criticized the royal couple. Doing so just made their relationship with the royals worse.
As of late, Markle still hasn’t spoken to her dad and royal experts are convinced that she wouldn’t allow him to meet her firstborn.
