Meghan Markle’s Dad Slammed For ‘Extending 15 Minutes Of Fame’

Meghan Markle’s dad has been slammed for attempting to extend his 15 minutes of fame by a journalist.

Karren Brady, a journalist for The Sun, criticized Thomas Markle Sr. for releasing the Duchess of Sussex’s private letters to him. Even though Markle is being blamed for triggering her dad to publish the letters, it was still Thomas who made the decision to do so.

“This man is Meghan’s father… His job is to protect his daughter and look after her. It’s shocking… Meghan’s letter was compelling but excruciating – so personal it felt like reading someone’s diary,” she said.

Brady went on to say that the public shouldn’t vilify Markle for organizing the interview for her friends, and she shouldn’t also be blamed for the way her family has been treating her. The journalist said that it is Thomas that should be vilified instead of his daughter.

“He’s the one addicted to fame – and trying to extend the 15 minutes by any means he can – even if it means betraying his daughter. Which, to my mind, is unacceptable and unforgivable,” she said.

In the letter, Markle told her dad that he broke her heart into a million pieces. She also urged the former lighting director to not believe what he reads on the tabloids. Prince Harry’s wife went on to question her dad’s integrity especially after he lied to the press by saying that he informed Markle that he couldn’t make it to her wedding.

Apparently, Thomas did not tell his daughter that he couldn’t make it beforehand. And to make things worse, Markle tried to reach out to her dad by calling him on the phone but he never picked up. But Thomas previously told various outlets that he tried calling her daughter, but she’s the one that never answered his calls.

Markle also confirmed that she barely knows her half-sister, Samantha Markle, who is set to release a book about the Duchess in the coming months.
