Meghan Markle’s Extravagant Baby Shower Linked To Kensington Palace’s Controversial Family Tweet

Meghan Markle’s extravagant baby shower in New York was recently linked by royal fans to a controversial tweet posted by Kensington Palace.

One day after the lavish gathering wrapped up, the palace talked about poverty in the United Kingdom. “73 percent of the poorest families cannot always afford to feed their children during the school holidays, a gap which is estimated to affect 3 million children and young people across the UK and 700,000 in London,” the tweet read.

“Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan slammed the timing of the tweet because it was uploaded one day after a member of the royal family enjoyed opulent extravagance for her baby shower.

Some royal fans also called Kensington Palace hypocritical and outrageous for posting an insensitive tweet that they think has an underlying shade directed at the Duchess of Sussex.

“Yes, there are many, many poor families in the UK. But really, it’s taking the biscuit posting this after the obscene amount of money spent on a baby shower… Poverty tips from the palace, nice one!” one person commented.

Another person said that she was disappointed with the bad taste of the tweet because it was released right after Markle’s baby shower. Another person also called the move hypocritical to be speaking about poverty has given Markle’s expensive baby shower.

Meanwhile, Kensington Palace is not the only one who is facing a backlash at the moment. Prince William is also thought to be upset over his sister-in-law’s baby shower because of its cost and because Markle acted like a diva.

Princess Diana’s former royal butler, Paul Burrell, told The Sun that Markle would most likely have infuriated the Duke of Cambridge because she acted more like Kim Kardashian than a member of the royal family at her baby shower.

Prince William is mostly not pleased with how Prince Harry’s wife courted attention to her and her baby when the other members of the royal family strived for privacy.
