Meghan Markle's friend, Jessica Mulroney, took a walk down memory lane when she shared a throwback photo from the duchess' 2018 royal wedding with Prince Harry.
On Thursday, Markle’s close friend reminisced about the lavish nuptials held at the St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, which she and her children had attended and played big roles in. Mulroney uploaded a photo of the bride walking down the aisle, with one of her sons smiling behind her while holding her veil.
“I see this and pure joy,” Mulroney, who set her account to private, captioned the picture.
The stylist’s twins, John and Brian, were page boys during the event, while daughter Ivy was a bridesmaid.
Mulroney broke her hiatus on Instagram earlier this month. Markle’s friend briefly left the limelight after she received massive backlash for her alleged disturbing messages to Black influencer Sasha Exeter, who called out the stylist for her display of “white privilege.”
Back in June, Exeter called on other influencers and personalities with large social media followings, without naming anyone specifically, to take action as the Black Lives Matter movement was in motion. However, Markle’s friend took offense to Exeter’s post and felt that she was being targeted.
Exeter then exposed the threats Mulroney made toward her via private messages over her post.
After the 40-year-old Canadian’s messages were made public, one of which contained her threat toward Exeter’s livelihood, Mulroney announced that she would be taking a social media break.
Amid the controversy, reports began surfacing that Markle had begun distancing herself from Mulroney. However, a Page Six source claimed that even before the latter left tone-deaf messages in Exeter’s inbox, their friendship had already been on the rocks.
The insider claimed Markle felt that Mulroney was “benefitting” from her and her position as the Duchess of Sussex.
“[The] row has really given Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good,” the source said.
“Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?” another tipster said.
Following Exeter's revelations, Mulroney lost her gig as a fashion contributor for ABC's “Good Morning America.”
