Meghan Markle's estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., made it clear in the first trailer for Australia's "Big Brother VIP" that he isn't fond of the duchess.

In the teaser released Sunday on Twitter for "Big Brother VIP," where Thomas is one of 12 "celebrity" contestants, the 55-year-old described himself as the "biggest brother of them all" and called the Duchess of Sussex, 40, "shallow."

Thomas also claimed that he warned Prince Harry not to marry Markle.

"I told Prince Harry, 'I think she’s going to ruin your life,'" Thomas said as the clip showed him getting out of a limo. "She's very shallow."

Markle and her brother have been estranged for years. In fact, no family member from her father's side was invited to her royal wedding to Prince Harry.

Ahead of the couple’s May 2018 wedding, Thomas, who shares father Thomas Markle with the duchess, penned a letter to Prince Harry in which he warned the Duke of Sussex that it was "not to [sic] late" to turn back.

In the letter, he wrote that Markle was "obviously not the right woman" for Prince Harry and alleged that the former "Suits" star was a "jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage."

"Not to mention, to top it all off, she doesn’t invite her own family and instead invites complete strangers to the wedding. Who does that?" Thomas wrote in the letter. "You and the royal family should put an end to this fake fairytale wedding before it’s too late."

Thomas further claimed that though people may think that "a royal wedding would bring a torn family closer together," this was not the case for their family. "I guess we are all distant family to Meg," he wrote.

A week later, Thomas penned another letter, this time addressed to his half-sister. In the letter published by InTouch Weekly, he told the duchess that they are family no matter what and laid down his intention to get an invitation to Markle and Prince Harry's wedding.

"Meg I know that I'm not perfect, nor is anyone else in our family, as I'm sure you have read by now. But good, bad, or perfect, we're the only family that you have. It does hurt my feelings not getting invited to your wedding, along with the rest of the family," he wrote. "But it's not too late to send me an invite along with your entire family."

Thomas also starred in a beer commercial alongside a lookalike of his half-sister in 2019. The ad depicted him attempting to steal Queen Elizabeth II’s crown from Buckingham Palace, only to choose a case of beer instead.

"I don’t think anyone would be upset by it. It’s not going to piss anyone off," Thomas told the New York Post's Page Six at the time.

The cast of "Big Brother VIP" also includes Caitlyn Jenner and Omarosa Manigault Newman.
