Meghan Markle’s Half-Sister Fires Back At ‘Fake’ Fixated Persons List: ‘Horrible Thing’
Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, recently revealed that she has contacted authorities regarding rumors that she has been placed on the fixated persons list of the Metropolitan Police.
While speaking with Daily Mail, the multiple sclerosis patient said that the police informed her that they do not hold such a list. Samantha also provided a copy of the letter from the police in response to a request under the Data Protection Act.
“From the personal details supplied in your request, we can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by the Metropolitan Police Service. Please note this response should not be used as a certificate of good character,” the letter read.
Last year, The Sunday Times claimed that Samantha has been placed on the police’s fixated persons list because she presents a risk rather than a threat. Even though Samantha did not commit criminal offenses, she is causing grave concerns to the royal family.
After receiving the letter confirming that she’s not been included in the list, Samantha hit out at the publication and said that it was a horrible thing to do.
“It was a horrible PR strategy, people have to be responsible and accountable. When they’re not telling the truth, people’s lives can be destroyed… People can get away with starting rumors like that,” she said.
Markle and Samantha have not spoken to each other in years. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex recently revealed via the letter that she wrote to her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., that she and Samantha have never been close. After hearing this shocking revelation, Samantha became visibly upset with her half-sister.
In related news, Samantha will be releasing a tell-all book called “In the Shadow of the Duchess I” this month. the book will revolve around the things her and Markle’s childhood, as well as some of the things that royal fans do not know about her.
