Meghan Markle’s Mom Doria Visited Her In London; Royal Fans Missed It
Meghan Markle’s mom Doria Ragland reportedly visited her and Prince Harry in London without royal fans noticing.
Omid Scobie, a royal commentator, discussed Ragland’s trip to the United Kingdom this summer during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”
On his Twitter account, Scobie wrote (via Harper's Bazaar), “[Doria] visited Prince Harry and her daughter for an extended stay at their Oxfordshire home this summer. Doria is said to enjoy a close relationship with Harry and continues to be a pillar of strength for Meghan.”
Previous reports claimed that Ragland will be moving to London to be closer to Markle and Prince Harry. However, this hasn’t been confirmed or denied by the Kensington Palace.
Last month, reports also suggested that Markle will be heading to the United States by herself to reunite with her mom and closest friends. However, this story was also debunked by Rebecca English, a royal correspondent.
On her Twitter account, English wrote, “Meghan isn’t in Canada or LA and won’t be going there anytime soon.” The expert said that Markle was actually in London gearing up for her upcoming public outing with Prince Harry. On Aug. 29, the royal couple made an appearance at the showing of “Hamilton.”
But despite English’s clarification, Daniel Khalili-Tari, a journalist for Express, still claimed that Markle will visit Ragland in the United States soon. Khalili-Tari added that Markle won’t visit her dad Thomas Markle Sr. during her trip.
Markle has a close relationship with her mom, and she used to also be close to her dad even though her parents divorced while she was still very young. But in recent months, her bond with Thomas had been tainted by the tell-all interviews he and Markle’s half-siblings have been giving.
Thomas previously claimed that he hung up on Prince Harry. The former lighting director also slammed the palace for cutting him off of Markle’s life. He said that he could no longer contact his daughter because they blocked him from all of their phones.
