Meghan Markle’s Nephew Calls Family Feud ‘National Embarrassment,’ Shares Explosive Details
Meghan Markle’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, has once again opened up about his family’s ongoing feud ever since the Duchess of Sussex joined the British clan.
While speaking with Lady Colin Campbell on MTV’s “The Royal World,” Dooley said that he and his other relatives have been cut off from Markle’s life ever since she started dating Prince Harry.
“We used to be close. That’s the problem. I used to view her as a sister. We’re similar in age so she was everything to me and my brother. It’s been rough the last few years for us. The royal family, what’s happened with the mainstream media and this level of exposure on my family, it’s like we can’t speak to her, everything just cut off. I don’t like what’s happened to my family. It’s a national embarrassment,” he said (via Daily Star).
Campbell acknowledged Dooley’s revelation and said that the feud seems to have started after Markle decided to not invite any of her relatives to her royal wedding on May 19.
“You have all been placed in a tremendously embarrassing and difficult position and the embarrassment started with the lack of invitation to the wedding. There’s no way around it, that is the reality,” she said.
“Why do you think we didn’t get invited? Just for me, so I know. Do you think she because she might have been embarrassed by who we are?” Dooley asked his fellow reality TV star.
“Well, I would imagine that’s the most likely explanation,” Campbell said.
Campbell also went on to criticize Markle for distancing herself from her dad’s side of the family.
“Royals and aristocrats would never distance themselves from family just because some of them are rackety. I’ve never known of any member of a family to cut off their birth family, except selectively,” she said.
Markle has not spoken to her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., and half-siblings Thomas Markle Jr. and Samantha Markle since she got engaged to Prince Harry. Thomas Sr. was initially invited to the royal wedding, but he failed to attend due to his heart surgery.
