Meghan Markle's Pal Priyanka Chopra Slammed After Allegedly Snubbing Prince William, Kate Middleton At Wimbledon

Meghan Markle's pal Priyanka Chopra got a lot of flak after she appeared to ignore Prince William and Kate Middleton at Wimbledon.

Chopra attended the women's singles final Saturday. She was already on her seat when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived.

In the clip obtained by Daily Mail, the guests clapped when Prince William and Middleton entered the Royal Box. However, the "Quantico" star did not join the crowd. Instead, she adjusted her scarf and seemingly avoided eye contact with the royal couple while they mingled with other VIP guests. Chopra was also seen looking away when they crossed paths on the Center Court balcony.

Several Twitter users did not like Chopra's behavior toward Prince William and Middleton. The netizens felt that she disrespected the future king and queen.

"Priyanka Chopra you come into our Country U.K. we hate people like yours self Celebrity who disrespect our Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, what you did last week you sat in the Royal Family Box which people who are. Non Royal are offered with respect to sit in the Royal box," one tweeted.

"@priyankachopra you're part Asian? Isn't it basic manners to acknowledge a presence whether you like it or not? Guess you're no different from other snobs. Well I wish you luck and hope you're always as useful to Megain for her to call u friend," a second netizen added.

"That’s just plain rude!" a third user commented.

"It just goes to show you, money doesn't [buy] you class. That woman has no manners! If she indeed is the Grifter's friend, then she's inconsequential. Tell me who your friends are and l'll tell you who you are. A nothing-rubbish!" a fourth user added.

Meanwhile, some also said that Chopra's reaction should not be a big deal because the Cambridges probably did not see her at all. Others felt that there was nothing wrong with her behavior because not everyone is a fan of the royal family.

"So what? Y'all want everybody to bow & scrape for these Royals? Not everybody is into this superficial Royal BS," one commented.

"This is soooooo unimportant!!!" another added.

"Catherine had her back to her. She wouldn't know whether this woman stared at her or not, let alone cared about it," a different netizen wrote.

"Wouldn't you have to know the person and want their acknowledgment for them to 'snub' you. Seriously. I doubt Kate knows [or] cares about this person," another added.

Chopra was criticized for ignoring Prince William and Middleton because she is friends with Markle. The "Suits" star and the "Baywatch" actress used to share photos of each other on social media when the Duchess of Sussex was still active on Instagram. They also used to call each other "my girl" or "my babe." Chopra even shared a sweet post for Markle after hearing about her engagement to Prince Harry.
