Meghan Markle’s makeup artist explained the duchess’ “glowy and stress-free” look for her Zoom video call.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal roles in January. They are currently residing in a secluded place in Los Angeles. Prince Harry and Markle left Canada and moved to the U.S. after they made their final royal engagement in the U.K.

On Wednesday (April 29), Markle dropped a new clip of her taken when she was having a Zoom video call for Smart Works. In the short video, Markle looks stunning as she offers advice to young woman on how to prepare for a job interview.

Netizens praised Markle’s look while on quarantine. Many said she looked younger and very happy. Even Markle’s makeup artist couldn’t help but give praises to the duchess’ appearance in the video.

“Her face looks glowy and stress-free...It definitely looks like she’s done her own make-up, as you’d expect right now, but she knows what works for her,” Ruby Hammer told The Telegraph.

Hammer also shared some tips on how Markle possibly did her makeup. According to the makeup artist, Markle might have opted for makeup “similar to how she had her finish on her wedding day.”

She said that Markle might have applied a “healthy bit of a blush” upwards and outwards and high on her cheeks to avoid looking washed out. She also appeared to have brushed her eyebrows up and gently filled them. Meanwhile, to make her eyes look awake and alert, the duchess seemingly applied two or three layers of mascara on.

Prince Harry’s wife might have used a translucent powder across the top of her cheeks and mattified between her brows and at the sides of her nose and chin to achieve the “polished and professional” look. She might have finished her look with a “balmy lipstick or juicy lip-gloss,” which is very comfortable to re-apply if needed.

While it’s undeniable that Markle looked gorgeous in the video, her critics attacked her for the timing of its release. Markle made the Zoom call in March, but she shared the video on the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding anniversary. Hence, many accused Markle of trying to steal the limelight from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who were celebrating another milestone in their marriage.

“Oh come on! She filmed this in MARCH & released it on the Cambridge’s Wedding anniversary!? It’s beyond predictable and I’m not even annoyed as it’s so obvious and pathetic at this point. Behaving like a petulant child,” one wrote on Twitter.
