  • Archie Harrison could grow up without a grandfather figure in his life
  • Archie Harrison would miss seeing Prince Charles
  • Prince Charles doesn't spend much time with his grandchildren

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to quit the royal family after the constant scrutiny that they have received from the press.

During their announcement, the royal couple revealed that they will be living in North America and London with their 8-month-old son, Archie. According to Express, this setup could mean that Archie will grow up missing an important figure in his life.

Since the Duchess of Sussex is estranged from her father, Thomas Markle Sr., she has not allowed her son to meet his grandfather. Ever since Archie was born, the only grandfather that he knows is Prince Charles.

As such, the Sussexes’ move to Canada could only mean that Archie would get to see less of Prince Charles. It is true that the heir to the throne can still visit his grandson in Canada and Archie could visit London in the coming months. However, Prince Charles and Archie won’t get to spend as much time with each other.

But it is also important to note that even while the Sussexes were still residing in the United Kingdom, Prince Charles didn’t always see his grandson. The heir to the throne has a very busy schedule.

In fact, Prince Charles has not also been spending a lot of time with his three grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Two years ago, John Bridcut interviewed Prince William for the documentary “Prince, Son, and Heir: Charles at 70.” During their conversation, Bridcut asked the Duke of Cambridge if Prince Charles has time to be a grandfather to his three kids.

“It’s something that I’m working on heavily. I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children. Now he’s reached his seventieth year, it’s the perfect time to consolidate a little bit because as most families do, you are worried about having them around and making sure their health is okay,” he said.
