Meghan Markle’s ‘Suits’ Dad Arrives In London Amid Real Dad Thomas’ Absence

Meghan Markle’s real dad may not be in London to witness the arrival of her firstborn, but there’s another “dad” in the Duchess of Sussex’s life that just arrived in the United Kingdom.

During a recent interview with People, “Suits” star Wendell Pierce said that he couldn’t be more excited for the arrival of Markle and Prince Harry’s baby. The actor is currently in London for work and not necessarily to be there for his co-star’s baby’s birth.

“It’s great to be living and working in London while the excitement builds around the Duchess of Sussex soon giving birth to her first child. Meghan, I’m very happy for you… Blessings,” he said.

Markle played the role of Rachel Zane on “Suits” for several seasons and Pierce played the role of her onscreen dad, Robert Zane. While on the show, the two developed a close relationship with each other.

Their closeness was sealed when Markle decided to tell Pierce about her relationship with Prince Harry even before the entire world knew about it.

During his previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pierce revealed how Markle told him about her new boyfriend.

“She met this nice guy and we always talked about him in code, really. You know, ‘How you doing?’ ‘Oh, I’m going to London, coming from London,’ whatever…” he said.

Meanwhile, Markle’s real dad is rumored to not have the chance to meet his grandchild in person. This is due to the fact that the Duchess of Sussex has not spoken to her dad in months.

Markle last reached out to her dad via a handwritten letter where she expressed her disappointment over Thomas’ decision to sit down for interviews with tabloids. In her letter, Markle told her dad that he broke her heart into a million pieces.

Unfortunately, Thomas did not see the letter as Markle’s means of extending an olive branch to him. Rather, it just ignited more tension between the two.
