Meghan Trainor, Daryl Sabara Got Engaged Days Before Christmas
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara will soon tie the knot!
The couple just got engaged on Thursday, Dec. 21, and the “Dear Future Husband” singer shared his proposal video on her Instagram account one day later. Sabara asked Trainor to marry him in front of their closest family and friends and one day before the singer’s 24th birthday.
In the video, Sabara went down on one knee and popped the question. Trainor broke down in tears before giving her fiancé a resounding “yes.” Following his proposal, Trainor and Sabara walked along a lighted pathway and were met by their parents, siblings and friends.
The “All About That Bass” singer accompanied the video with a lengthy caption. She called Sabara the love of her life. She thanked everyone who made the proposal possible and revealed that Ryan Trainor was the one who made the proposal video.
Meanwhile, Sabara and Trainor have only been dating for over a year. The couple was first introduced by their common friend, Chloe Grace Moretz. While speaking with Chelsea Handler, Trainor revealed that she was always vocal about wanting to find a boyfriend.
“I asked every person I met since day one, ‘Find me a boyfriend!’ Like, especially new friends too. Chloe Grace Moretz is a friend of mine, and day one of meeting her, I was like, ‘You know anybody that I could date? Or love? Whatever.’ And she’s like, ‘I know the nicest guy in the world, Daryl, you should meet him.’ I was like, ‘Daryl? Okay,’” she shared (via People).
Trainor and Sabara instantly clicked, and the couple decided to make things official. The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” singer is grateful to her fiancé for standing by her side throughout some difficult phases in her life.
In April, she also told Cosmopolitan that Sabara made her feel more confident with herself. “I never felt sexy with guys before. No one expressed how they liked my body out loud in the bedroom until I met Daryl. He is obsessed with it – every inch. And that has improved my confidence more than even ‘All About That Bass’ did. He’s a champion, so we’re in heaven,” she gushed.
