Megyn Kelly Slammed On Twitter After Replying To Joe Biden's Tweet For Unity
Former broadcaster Megyn Kelly received backlash Sunday on social media for replying to President-elect Joe Biden’s tweet about uniting and healing the country after the election.
Kelly tweeted at Biden that his comment about the country was, “Written like a man who’s been in his basement for a year.”
This isn’t the first time Kelly has been the subject of social-media backlash. After the final presidential debate, she immediately tweeted that President Donald Trump clearly won the showdown, despite most polls showing that Biden edged Trump.
The former Fox News host posted several tweets Sunday. They mostly appeared to admonish the current political climate.

See? If you are a voter ticked off about being called a racist, xenophobic, sexist bigot for the past four years it is your “white fear” similar to after the Civil War. Good grief. https://t.co/hhpJZTCqAx

You can be as angry as you want. But let’s not pretend after 4 yrs of bare knuckled, brutal, and grossly vicious brawling, now that your guy is ascending to the WH, it’s all over and “unity,” “healing,” peace, love & understanding bc ... memory. https://t.co/NM3WSIInHH

Many Twitter users tweeted at Kelly, telling her to do better. Explaining to her that her words matter and to be an example since she is a well-known journalist.
Maybe a good time for everyone with influence to try leading by example.

That means responsibility for what we each write. Respectfully, @megynkelly, you can do better.
No. Half of the country has been demonized as awful for four years just for supporting their president who was falsely accused of Russian collaboration, wrongly impeached & attacked relentlessly by the L & a dishonest media. And now it’s “let’s heal!” “Unity!” Good luck. https://t.co/WD2UrE5PGA

Some users pushed back against Kelly, who shared several post-election thoughts.

We will never forget how shitty you were to Obama.
Looking forward to watching you become the next Ann Coulter, Megyn. pic.twitter.com/QoOgpiShSK
Kelly also was called "pathetic" by Jon Favreau, a former speechwriter for President Barack Obama.
Kelly, 49, served as an on-air personality at Fox News from 2004 to 2017. She also served as an NBC morning show host from 2017 to 2018.
