Meizu Metal: Handset With Aluminum Body, Fingerprint Sensor Available Worldwide For $174 With Free Shipping
Meizu Metal is the newly announced smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The handset that is also known as Meizu Blue Charm Metal was exclusively launched in China. However, it is now available with a starting price of $174 through Gear Best.
The Meizu Metal is an impressive phablet from the company that comes with a 5.5-inch display that offers a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device is powered by the most powerful MediaTek chipset -- Helio X10. Its octa-core processor delivers a maximum processing speed of 2.0 GHz along with PowerVR G6200 graphics. The chipset is supported by 2 GB of RAM. The Meizu Metal comes in two storage flavors of 16 GB and 32 GB. The external storage of the handset supports up to 128 GB of microSD card.
The rear camera on the Meizu Metal is of 13-megapixel and the one placed on the front panel is of 5-megapixel. The Android Lollipop OS is overlaid with the company’s Flyme 5.0 skin.
It is a dual-SIM handset that supports LTE connectivity and it is packed with a massive battery of 3,140 mAh capacity. The handset measures 150.7 x 75.3 x 8.2 mm and weighs 162 grams.
What’s interesting about the Meizu Metal is that the handset features a full-metal chassis. There is a fingerprint scanner that is embedded in the physical Home button of the device.
Gear Best has started with the preorders of the Meizu Metal from Oct. 31. The 16 GB and 32 GB and models are priced at $173 and $210, respectively. The last date to preorder the handset is Nov. 28.
The Chinese retailer is selling the white and black color variants of the Meizu Metal. It is also offer free shipping service for purchasers across the globe.
