Mekhi Phifer Marries Longtime Girlfriend Reshelet Barnes As Judge Greg Mathis Officiates Union [PHOTOS]

Mekhi Phifer is a married man, after a Saturday ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif., to bride Reshelet Barnes.

In front of 100 family members and friends, the “8 Mile” actor said “I do” to his longtime girlfriend. Phifer wore a white suit as he walked down the aisle, E! News reports, while Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky,” played in the background. One of Phifer’s sons walked down the aisle as well, with a Chihuahua on a leash. Television personality Judge Greg Mathis officiated the union.

Barnes walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Bride” in a traditional white gown.

"When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away. He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes,” an insider told Perez Hilton.

The ceremony lasted for 15 minutes.

Phifer is best known for his role as Dr. Greg Pratt on the long-running NBC drama, “ER.” The 38-year-old actor was previously married to actress Malinda Williams. The two have a son together, named Omikaye. Phifer also has a second son, Mekhi Jr., with a former girlfriend.
