Melania Trump, the wife of former President Donald Trump, has no interest in returning to the White House as the first lady again, according to a report.

The former first lady has allegedly told several people in her circle that she does not intend to bolster Donald’s political ambitions nor return to the political scene.

"Being first lady again is not what she wants," a source familiar with the matter told CNN. "For her, it was a chapter -- and it's over, and that's that."

Another person aware of Melania’s disinterest in supporting her husband's political campaign also said that she is unlikely to appear at the former president’s rallies, even if he announces his 2024 bid.

"Instead, it's going to be Lara or Guilfoyle. They have that same urge Trump has to (run) again; Melania absolutely does not,” the source told the publication.

Lara Trump is the wife of Donald's son, Eric; while Kimberly Guilfoyle is the girlfriend of his eldest son, Donald Jr.

Mrs. Trump has been known to shy away from the spotlight during and after her husband’s presidency. Over Donald’s four-year tenure, Melania had only appeared in five on-camera interviews and no print media interviews.

Since leaving the White House, Melania had only been caught in public once -- while leaving Trump Tower in New York City, accompanied by her 15-year-old son Barron in July.

The former first lady is said to be residing full-time at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. However, a journalist later questioned whether Melania was living with her husband at the Florida club where she was rarely seen mingling with people.

"Aides were careful not to closely inquire or openly wonder. Here too, in Mar-a-Lago, it was unclear,” Michael Wolff wrote in his book “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency.”

In February, Melania announced that she was opening her office from Palm Beach. It would have two to three full-time workers, two of whom had previously worked in the White House during Trump’s administration.

"Mrs. Melania Trump is announcing the opening of The Office of Melania Trump. Please follow this account for news and updates,” a February tweet from her office read.

The Office of Melania Trump has yet to announce any initiatives or objectives since it opened.
