Melania Trump has become a favorite subject of mockery and criticisms since she was named as the First Lady of the United States in 2017. Critics make fun of the FLOTUS’s grammar, ‘straight’ facial expression and fashion. Recently, the wife of President Donald Trump made headlines after she shockingly chose buckled flats over her famous pairs of stilettos.
FootWearNews.com reported that Melania donned a pair of Roger Vivier flats as she and the POTUS wait to leave for India, Sunday. Avid followers of the FLOTUS are aware that she is fond of heels and stilettos. This is the reason why most fans were surprised to see her sporting walkable flats that “added less than an inch of height.”
Photos of Melania Trump’s black-and-white outfit quickly made rounds online. The FLOTUS completed her ensemble by wearing a square-shaped sunnies and a pair of straight-leg white and black checkered trousers. She also opted for a black turtleneck and topped it with a black coat.
Netizens were also quick to react to Melania’s outfit choice. “Nothing like $900 shoes when people are working 2 and 3 jobs just to survive,” one Twitter user said. “oh wow....I can sleep soundly tonight knowing the laziest and most pathetic FLOTUS is wearing flats on a taxpayer paid trip to India...that was a close call....I was worried all day about her footwear choice....not,” another netizen stated. “I don't care what she wears. I just want to see monkeys in India attacking her husband,” a third user added. The FLOTUS has yet to comment on these harsh remarks.
Aside from Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump-Kushner and Jared Kushner will, also, accompany President Donald Trump on his first visit to India. Prior to their trip, the POTUS claimed there will be numerous people waiting to see him at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad City.
“We’re going to have millions and millions of people,” Trump said, per New York Post. “I hear it’s going to be a big event. Some people say the biggest event they’ve ever had in India. That’s what the prime minister told me, this will be the biggest event they’ve ever had,” he went on.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, NSA Robert C. O’Brien and Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette will complete the U.S. delegation. President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and their entourage are expected to stay in state-of-the-art suites at ITC Maurya.
