Melania Trump was very supportive of her husband Donald Trump’s presidential campaign three years ago.

Contrary to rumors that she didn’t want POTUS to run for president, “Free, Melania” author Kate Bennett revealed that it was actually the FLOTUS who pushed President Trump to run for office. The reason behind this is quite hilarious.

The author claimed that the FLOTUS reached a point where she got tired of hearing her husband talk about his desire to rule America.

“Each time an election was approaching, Melania would have to listen to her husband go on and on about what was wrong with the country; how he would do it better; how he had predicted this, this, and this would happen, and it did,’” Bennett said.

It came to a point where Melania challenged President Trump by telling him that if he thinks he could do better than the three other individuals who were also running for the same position, he should just do it. Thus, Trump ran and was named as the president of the United States.

Prior to the recent election, President Trump flirted with the idea of running for office throughout his third marriage. In 2000, he thought about campaigning alongside the Reform Party. Years later, he once again thought about running very seriously.

In 2008 and 2011, the same thought crossed his mind. But it was only in 2016 that his plans came into full swing. During this time, the FLOTUS decided to put up and shut up. Contrary to rumors, the first lady didn’t talk her husband out of his desire to run for president.

Meanwhile, Melania and President Trump’s different personalities and views have led the public to think that their marriage is on the rocks. There are rumors that the couple will eventually divorce.

But Bennett told the Washington Examiner that this won’t happen because FLOTUS is faithful and devoted to her marriage.
