Melania Trump Lambasted Over A Wrong Term; FLOTUS Expressed Anger At Impeachment Witness
Melania Trump has been the receiving end of criticisms since she assumed as the role of First Lady of the United States in 2017. Despite this, the former fashion model continues to focus on her campaigns and responsibilities as the wife of President Donald Trump.
Recently, Melania was mocked again after using “Holiday” instead if “Christmas” in her latest tweet. “Another fun holiday tradition in our nation’s capital! Tonight, @POTUS and I attended @TheNationalTree lighting in @PresParkNPS. Loved seeing everyone in the holiday spirit!” she wrote on Thursday.
Netizens, as per usual, were quick to correct the FLOTUS’s latest faux pas. “Don’t say ‘holiday.’ Lol, your husband will have a meltdown. It’s ‘Christmas!’” Corey Garcia said. “She said ‘holiday’ not Christmas! Call Fox News!” another netizen wrote. Melania Trump has yet to comment on these remarks.
There were also those who criticized Melania Trump for looking happy in the photos while a 16-year-old boy died in Border Patrol custody because of flu. “Glad you were having fun while yet another child died in custody at the border,” Susan Brooks stated. “First Lady my *ss...looks more like Nutcracker,” a fourth netizen commented. “Too bad there's so many children in cages tonight while you have ‘fun,’” Niki Dyer wrote.
Avid followers of the FLOTUS, on the other hand, praised her fashion choices during the event. “That coat is everything!!! Love it !!! Merry Christmas to you and your family and everyone working hard for our country! God Bless!” a fan said. “Merry Christmas our wonderful, beautiful and elegant First Lady! You are truly a Classy Lady that deserves respect and love!! GOD BLESS YOU AND OUR INCREDIBLE PRESIDENT!!” Steven Odeh stated.
Meanwhile, Melania Trump slammed Pamela Karlan, on Wednesday, after the witness referenced Barron while noting that presidents are not kings. "The Constitution doesn’t allow titles of nobility," Pamela said during the House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing. "The president can name his son Barron, but he can’t make him a baron,” she continued.
Though Pamela’s wordplay drew laughs from the audience in the hearing room, Melania was, obviously, not pleased with her statement. "A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics," the FLOTUS wrote on Twitter. "Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it,” she added.
Pamela, later, apologized and said it was wrong of her to mention President Donald Trump’s son. “I wish the president would apologize, obviously, for the things he's done that's wrong, but I do regret having said that,” she said. Melania Trump has yet to respond on the witness’ expression of regret.
