Melania Trump is once again at the center of author Kate Bennett’s interview.

While speaking with The Cut, the author of “Free, Melania” shed light on the FLOTUS’s life inside the White House.

According to Bennett, President Donald Trump’s wife used to live a wealthy woman’s life. After all, she was a stay-at-home mom with three houses. But now that she is the first lady, Melania reportedly treats her daily upkeep of the Oval Office like a job.

Planning the Thanksgiving table arrangements, picking the guestlist for the next luncheon, and going over the wreaths are just some of her tasks as the FLOTUS.

Meanwhile, Bennett also talked about Melania and President Trump’s relationship and said that the FLOTUS has power and influence with her husband. But at the end of the day, the first lady doesn’t care about what other people think and say about her.

“Whether people assume she is complicit in Trump’s beliefs and actions by being married to him and staying married to him or whether they think she is standing by his side because she is a noble adherent to traditional marriage — it doesn’t matter to her,” Bennett said.

In her book, the author revealed that there’s always some sort of meaning to what Melania wears in public. There was a time when she was photographed wearing a jacket with the words “I really don’t care, do you?” printed on it. Bennett said that this was a calculated jab at her husband’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Melania and Ivanka are reportedly cordial but not close. Whenever Trump’s daughter travels internationally, the FLOTUS feels that Ivanka is invading her turf.

In “Kushner Inc.,” author Vicky Ward said that Melania is the only person in her book that stood up to Ivanka and won. The two women reportedly argued over an office space in the East Wing.
