Melania Trump ‘Raised The Bar’ For Other First Ladies, Not A ‘Political Spouse’

Melania Trump has been the first lady of the United States for the past three years but not much is known about her.

In the book “Free, Melania,” author Kate Bennett shed light on who the FLOTUS really is. Bennett praised Donald Trump’s wife for raising the bar for other first ladies in the country.

Melania’s very uncompromising personality has also paved the way for other first ladies to do what they want without simply following their husband’s footsteps. The FLOTUS is known for having her own stance and opinion on certain things, and she doesn’t always agree with the president.

“In a way, it also sort of raised the bar for First Ladies. They’re never seen as individuals; they’re sort of dragged along a lot of the time or expected to this or that. It’s a bit of a tricky game, but I certainly think she’s savvy enough to understand how she’s marketing herself to the public with the mystery,” she said.

Bennett went on to compare Melania with former first lady Michelle Obama. She said that the majority of the Americans felt that they knew who Barack Obama’s wife was. It wasn’t surprising to see her on “Carpool Karaoke” or at the Soul Cycle. However, the same cannot be said about FLOTUS. After three years, Americans are still learning about Melania.

And even though she and the POTUS have been married for 20 years, Melania is not a seasoned political spouse, but she supports her husband 100 percent.

“She was very supportive. For Melania Trump, she sort of moves through life as she so chooses so this is just a finite chapter. She’s mostly protecting her son, and she’s trying to get by living in the biggest fishbowl,” she said.

Meanwhile, the FLOTUS was criticized for refusing to condemn her husband’s attack on Greta Thunberg. After a statement from her secretary confirmed that Melania and President Trump often communicate differently, the public continued to throw shade at her on social media.

Photos of the FLOTUS from her porn star days were also photoshopped and retweeted on social media.
