KEY POINTS

  • Melania Trump doesn't change her hairstyle to make her more relatable to the public
  • The FLOTUS usually wears hats and sunglasses in public
  • Melania Trump think she's the most bullied person in the world

Melania Trump has been sporting the same hairstyle for years. And there seems to be a reason why this is the case.

While speaking with Yahoo! Beauty, hairstylist Mordechai Alvow said that the FLOTUS refuses to change her hairstyle so that she would evoke consistency. And if the public sees this, they will feel more connected to the first lady.

When Melania became the first lady of the United States, she was relatively new to the public eye. Over time, the public started looking for a sense of stability from her, and they got it from her never-changing hairstyle.

But Alvow acknowledged the fact that President Trump’s wife may one day decide to change her hairstyle, and this shouldn’t be a problem because the public already knows who she is and what she stands for.

At the end of the day, Alvow said that one of the goals is to make sure that Melania doesn’t look like she just stepped out of the salon. Rather, the FLOTUS needs to look beautifully imperfect in public.

Meanwhile, the FLOTUS has also been photographed wearing sunglasses and hats on a handful of occasions. Fashion psychologist Dawnn Karen claimed that there’s a reason behind the first lady’s fashion statement.

While speaking with Mirror, Karen said that the FLOTUS usually wears sunglasses to shield herself from the public eye. During her previous interviews, Melania revealed that she is oftentimes bullied.

“I believe that the hat serves as an armor of some sort. When she's looking out into the audience, she cannot see the entire crowd due to her sunglasses or her hat,” she said.

Last year, the first lady sat down for an interview with “Good Morning America,” where she said that she’s one of the most bullied people in the world.

Melania receives a slew of criticisms every time she posts something on social media. After sharing her and the POTUS’s Christmas video, some people called her a fake Christian and accused her of wanting to divorce President Trump.
