  • The FLOTUS confirmed that Trump didn't change their son Barron's diaper
  • Ivana Trump said that the president is not a hands-on dad, but he is loving and a good provider

Melania Trump’s Father’s Day post on Twitter backfired because netizens attacked her husband President Donald Trump’s parenting style.

The First Lady of the United States took to social media to celebrate Father’s Day. She shared a photo of a white rose and penned a short message for all the dads in the world.

“Today we celebrate all fathers for their love, dedication & wisdom to help guide our youth to help them succeed & grow. Happy #FathersDay,” she wrote on Twitter.

However, many reacted negatively to Melania’s post, with some of them attacking Trump’s parenting style.

“Especially a father who won't change a diaper or soothe a fussy baby. And most especially, the father who cheats on his baby momma with a porn star right after momma gave birth,” one commented.

“I dare you to post a picture of @realDonaldTrump with Barron. You won’t because Trump doesn’t know what it’s like to be a dad and love his kids,” @pmramani added.

“@realDonaldTrump says men who take care of their kids are acting 'like the wife.’ Donald Trump's first wife Ivana said he never changed diapers or played sports with his children while they were growing up,” another added.

Meanwhile, many also supported the FLOTUS. They thanked her and expressed their love for the POTUS.

“Thank you. Please tell the greatest president in my lifetime next to Regan loved him too ... lol but just tell him real americans are behind him and wish him a HAPPY FATHERS DAY we love him and can’t thank him enough,” one wrote.

“Thank [you] Flotus for everything you do,” @cypress_mills opined.

Both Melania and Ivana Trump have spoken about Trump as a dad. They admitted that the POTUS was not a hands-on father, but it was not an issue for them.

“I feed him, I change him, I play with him,” Melania said about parenting son, Barron.

When asked if her billionaire husband cleaned their baby’s bottom or changed his diaper, the FLOTUS responded, “No, he doesn’t and I’m okay with it.”

On the other hand, Ivana said that Trump was not the kind of dad who would go on a stroll with his kids or play baseball with them. However, she called Trump a loving father and a good provider.

“He was loving father, don’t get me wrong. And he was a good provider,” Ivana said.
