Mentally Ill New York Man Stabs Father To Death, Mutilated Body Found At Home

In a disturbing incident, a man was killed and dismembered by his son at his home in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday.

According to local reports, police officers were taking a meal break at a bakery early Wednesday when the accused, identified as 26-year-old Khaled Ahmad, ran up to them and said, “I killed my father.” The officers immediately rushed to the home on 84th Street near 14th Avenue and found 57-year-old Imad Ahmad lying motionless in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds all over his body. Police said his body was mutilated.

The accused, who had a history of mental illnesses, was taken into custody and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Meanwhile, neighbors recalled the victim as a “jovial fellow.”

“He was happy. It’s very scary. Very strange. He’s a very nice guy,” neighbor Mansour Hassan said, adding, “I don’t know what’s going on in their house. I’ve never seen the son having problems with his father.”

The neighbor added that the victim had recently sold the grocery shop that he ran as “it was too much for him.”

Meanwhile, the victim’s brother was seen outside the home, weeping uncontrollably and punching the cars that were parked nearby. The neighbors and bystanders managed to restrain him.

Investigation was ongoing to find out the motive behind the crime and search was underway for missing body parts of the deceased.

In a similar incident in Frederick County, Virginia, earlier this month, a man stabbed his father in the arm during an argument. Officials said that the father, identified as Carl Story, and his son, Cody Story, were having an altercation in the driveway of their home regarding the latter’s employment status. In a fit of rage, the accused stabbed his father with a pocket knife and fled the scene. Medics responded to the scene after the victim called 911 and reported that he was stabbed by his son. The suspect was found in the neighborhood a few minutes later and taken into custody after the knife with bloodstains on it was found with him.
