Meredith Vieira To Host NBC Daytime Talk Show 'The Meredith Vieira Show'
Former "Today" show co-host Meredith Vieira will be returning to TV screens across the nation with a new daily talk show.
Vieira, who this year ended her run as the host of the U.S. version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," will be an executive producer as well as host for "The Meredith Vieira Show," reports Reuters. She filled the "Millionaire" host's seat for 11 seasons.
Vieira, a two-time Emmy winner as best game show host, sat at the "Today" anchor desk from 2006 to 2011. She has gained many accolades in her years in television, including a total a total of 14 Emmys. She was also an original host of "The View" on ABC.
NBCUniversal Domestic TV will be producing and distributing the nationally syndicated show. It will be based out of New York.
Along with her television roles, Vieira is the CEO of her own production company, and she has produced the feature film "Return" and the touring play "Life in a Marital Institution (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour)."
