Morley Fund Management today announced that it appointed Mick Chadwick as head of dealing on its stock lending team. Morley has a long and established name in the securities finance market.

Chadwick will have responsibility for expanding and diversifying the teams activities, by developing infrastructure, technology and the processes needed to make expansion.

Speaking in a statement on the appointment, Sarah Nicholson, head of stock lending at the company, said:

"We have been very successful in the past as a traditional UK fee based lending organisation. To continue our success and remain active in the lending market we need to develop new capabilities. Mick's appointment is about scaling up what we already do and broadening our team's activities.'

Chadwick said in the statement: "As the securities finance market matures, Morley recognises that it needs to adapt. Morley is a significant presence in the market, and as one of the largest and most entrepreneurial lending institutions is able to respond quickly to market demand.'
