Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, known for her portrayal in movies like Alice in Wonderland and The Kids Are All Right, has been chosen as the new face for luxury brand Miu Miu for its Spring/Summer 2012 campaign.
The campaign will be Mia's first venture in the fashion arena where she replaces 14-year-old Hailee Steinfield in the campaign.
The latter reportedly attracted criticism as she was too young to front a major fashion label.
The first look of the campaign shows the actress in a creation with bright shades and floral prints.
Born in Canberra, Mia started her career in Australian television and film. Later, she became known to a wider audience following her critically acclaimed work on the HBO television series In Treatment.
However, it was only in 2010 that she gained worldwide prominence after starring as Alice in Tim Burton's $1 billion-grossing Alice in Wonderland and appearing in The Kids Are All Right, for which she received the Hollywood Breakthrough Actress Award.
