Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade emotionally drained after NBA Finals
Players for the Miami Heat appeared emotionally drained after their crushing loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
Following the loss, players for the Heat including Dwyane Wade and Lebron James met with the media.
Wade appeared congratulated the Mavericks but didn't offer much hope for the future of the Heat other than to say that they would come back and try to do it again.
Wade explained that Mavericks put the pieces together to build a championship caliber team saying, No matter which way you do it, signing Dirk was big obviously this summer. Adding Tyson Chandler and adding Shawn Marion a year ago was big. So they've been building it. Eventually we're going to build it. It just didn't happen this year.
In the end, Wade conceded, The word 'choked' is overused in sports, period. We lost ballgames. We lost The Finals. We ran into a team that at this time obviously was better than us.
The Heat's other star, Lebron James appeared emotionally scarred from the loss.
In his press conference, James proceeded to rip into his critics saying, ...all the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today.
