Miami Man Eating: Zombie Shot and Killed After Eating Victims Face, Nose and Eyeballs
A Miami man was shot and killed on Saturday after he was caught eating the face of another man.
Citing police sources, the Boston Herald is reporting that a roadside-assistance truck driver saw a naked man eating another man's face before he tried to get him to back off via an announcement from his loudspeaker. An additional witness also saw the incident and flagged down a police officer.
The unidentified officer reportedly approached the man while he was eating his victim's face and ordered him to stop what he was doing.
After the naked man did not obey the command, the officer shot and killed him.
Surveillance video taken from security cameras at the nearby Miami Herald building show a police officer arrive on the scene, appear to be startled by the spectacle of two naked men lying on the street, and draw his service weapon.
Armando Aguilar, who heads the local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, told the Miami Herald that he has spoken with the officer who responded.
Aguilar said the officer saw what the man was doing, and ordered him to stop. He said the man growled at the officer, and then continued eating the man's face
Aguilar added that the man ate his victim's nose and eyeballs.
The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, according to the Miami Herald.
Javier Ortiz, spokesman for Miami's Fraternal Order of Police, said the officer who fired the fatal shots was a hero, according to a text-messaged statement. Based on the information provided, our Miami police officer is a hero and saved a life, he said.
Sgt. Altarr Williams, supervisor of the Miami police's homicide unit, said a man doesn't have to be armed to be dangerous. There are other ways to injure people, Williams said. Some people know martial arts, others are very strong and can kill you with their hands.
Investigators believe the victim may have been homeless and was on the ground when the crazed man ate his face.
