Michael B. Jordan threw a surprise birthday party for his lady love Lori Harvey, who will be turning 25 on Thursday.
Harvey's friends surprised her at Nobu Malibu in Malibu, California, Monday night to celebrate her upcoming 25th birthday, Page Six reported. But while her boyfriend couldn't make it, the "Black Panther" star, 34, made sure to pick up the check, according to the outlet.
During the bash, the model's manager, Tre Thomas, made an announcement, an unnamed partygoer told Page Six.
"[Michael] loves you and can’t be here tonight, but enjoy your night. It’s on him," Thomas reportedly said.
"He really wished he was there," the source added.
Harvey shared a series of photos and videos from the bash on her Instagram Story Monday.
In one clip, Harvey can be seen walking into a room decked out in balloons, including a big silver "25" for her milestone birthday. The tables are adorned with beautiful white floral arrangements, as well as custom menus that read "Lori's 25th."
"Thank you for my surprise party baby @michaelbjordan," the SKN by LH founder wrote on one slide.
According to Harvey's posts, among those who were present at the bash were Normani, Ryan Destiny, House of CB founder Conna Walker and influencer Khat Brim.
Harvey's manager didn't explain why the "Creed" star couldn't attend his girlfriend's birthday party. However, Jordan, who is making his directorial debut with the third installment of the "Rocky" spinoff, recently said that the project has been keeping him busy.
"I'm working... gonna be away from my family," he told "Extra" while promoting his film "A Journal for Jordan" over the holiday season. "Prep for 'Creed 3,' so I'm locked into that. [I] told everybody I don’t exist. Holidays don’t exist for me."
Although Jordan wasn't present at Harvey's birthday celebration, he made sure to ring in 2022 with his girlfriend. The couple even sparked pregnancy rumors after she called him "baby daddy."
When it comes to their relationship, Harvey told Bustle in June 2021 that they are both "very private." They share some photos for fans and supporters who want to see them, but they "keep the majority of it just for us," according to the model.
