Michael Jace Questioned After Wife Found Dead In Los Angeles Home; ‘The Shield’ Star Tells Police, ‘I Shot My Wife’
Actor Michael Jace has been detained for questioning by Los Angeles Police Department, or LAPD, after his wife, April Jace, was shot dead Monday night at their Los Angeles home.
“The Shield” actor’s wife was reportedly found dead with gunshot wounds on her body at their Hyde Park neighborhood home, and according to TMZ, Jace called the police himself to report the death of his wife, a mother of three, and told the police, "I shot my wife." "It looks to have started as a domestic-related incident," a police official told Los Angeles Times, adding that detectives are investigating whether the incident was an accidental shooting or a homicide.
Police officials also reportedly said that the couple's children were in the house at the time of the shooting, and have been placed in protective custody.
The 48-year old actor has not been arrested on any charges so far and officials reportedly said that details of the case could not be revealed until the ongoing investigation is completed.
