Michael Jackson hoped his funeral to be greatest show on earth
The King of Pop Michael Jackson once wished his funeral to be greatest show on earth.
According to the Daily Mirror, when Michael was asked in 1992 about how he would like his funeral to go, he said:It is going to be the greatest show on earth. That's what I want, fireworks and everything.
The funeral was pending on Saturday after his body was released to his family by the coroner's office on Friday night.
The announcement of the cause of his death has been deferred and the pending toxicological tests will take four to six weeks, officials said.
With an estimated 750 million viewers, it could become the most watched television event in history, according to the newspaper.
Meanwhile the source also claims that US President Barack Obama may be considering either attending or sending a government representative to the funeral ceremony.
The Jackson's family has gathered at their compound in Encino, California, to discuss the detailed funeral plans.
