Michael Jackson's mother granted temporary custody of children
After the death of Michael Jackson, his three children were put under the temporary guardianship of Katherine Jackson, the mother of the King of the Pop, who died Thursday of undetermined causes.
Despite the ruling, it won't be until August 3 when a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge will decide if Mrs. Jackson will keep permanent legal guardianship, the Associated Press reports.
Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff is in charge of the case.
Michael has three children; Michael Joseph Jackson Junior (12), Paris Michael Katherine Jackson (11) and Prince Michael Jackson II (7).
His first two children were from his marriage to dermatology nurse, Debbie Rowe, in 1996. According to Jackson, his third child - Prince Jackson, was the result of artificial insemination from a surrogate mother and his own sperm cells.
